Well as you know, Christmas has passed already. We did have a white Christmas which was fun. Christmas morning was a blast. My family except Liz and Joe opened presents with my grandparents and ate cinnamon rolls. I got some cool stuff. Got a couple of PS2 games. I also got a really cool Burton backpack and duffle bag. I got some really neat cds. Later that day my cousins came over and we ate a feast. My cousin got a dog and then dropped it on its head. Its okay thought. I mean the dog. My cousin got married two days after Christmas. That was a very icy day. We almost got into two wrecks getting there and coming home. The day after Christmas my brother-in-law and I went to mall and I got a really cool hat. Its black white and red. It says NY on it. A couple days before Christmas my Grandpa and I saw a raccoon in their tree. So I got a broomstick and pushed him out of the tree then chased him and wacked him a couple times. BTW it was the tamest coon you would have ever seen. didn't hiss or anything.

Hi. I have no idea what to write about anymore. Its really depressing isn't it lol. Well Christmas is really close. Its this thursday. But then again you prolly new that. There are blizzard warnings tomorrow so its gonna be interesting. At least it will be a white christmas. I went snowboarding last week with some friends for the first time this winter. I had a blast. I didn't fall too much which I was happy about. I didn't fall off of a jump though. That kinda hurt. Today I went to my Great-Uncle's funeral. He left this world last week. A couple of months ago I got a new phone. I am really happy with it. Now I really have nothing to write about so i'm gonna get off this thingy.

Its been a very long time since I have posted so I decided to write again. So I have been taking drivers ed and I finish tuesday. I have been watching the olympics alot. My favorite is gymnastics and swimming. The cool thing about the gymnastics is that Shawn Johnson is from Des Moines and thats just a couple hours away. Well even though its been awhile since I posted I can't think of anything else to say. Oh wait! My friends Adam and Becky came here lastweek for a couple of days. We went out to another friends house where we played airsoft have a cookout and did fireworks. I had a Louissiana Whistler shot at me. Scared me but it was all good.

Sonshine 08!

This past weekend I went to Sonshine again. It was a blast! This time we had a big group of 17 ppl. I new half of them. The others I became friends with by the end of the fest. It was an awesome year. It only stormed once and rained just alittle. During the storm the tent I was in blew over so we got to go look for another tent to get in while it was raining.

The pic up above (with the blue tent) is what I did with another person to the Johnson's tent. The other one someone else did. They had more tape than I :(. We did it around 2 in the morning when they were asleep.
We also had fun in the mosh pits at the main stage concerts. I went crowd surfing twice. It was fun.
On the first night some of the people who were still up went groceri shopping at 130 in the morning. It was fun. Nobody was there except us. We rounded up 200 plus dollars for all the food.
I got a cool new shirt that said "free high fives". I forgot that I had it on sometimes and ppl would come up to me and be like "high five!" and I'd just look at them weird and keep walking. Then I would remember I had it on. Well I got to go to bed.

This weekend was the 4th of July. Liz and Joe came down to celebrate with us. I went up a couple days before to go to Valley Fair with their youth group. I rode on the biggest rollercoaster there and loved it.
Saturday I went to a friends 16th birthday party. We played games and swam. They have a pool about four feet deep and 20 feet in diameter. We started jumping off their little jungle gym into the water until his younger sister said "hey Sam, jump off the tree house." So I climbed up to the top of the tree house and made the mistake of looking down. 12 feet is alot higher when you are looking down than when your on the ground. After about3 min of thinking how or if I should jump and everybody starring and scream "jump jump jump jump..." I jumped. It didn't hurt at all and I rushed out of the pool to do it again this time with a couple of crazy friends. We all jumped around 10 times and then stopped. Then we decided to go dripping wet into a burning hot street made of asphalt and lay down. We lay there screaming in pain and laughing at the same time. If you listened closly you could hear the water sizziling. Then when we were all dry we did it again and again. When we finished we looked at our black stomaches and laughed.

I was thinking about some of the issues in this world. Some of them make me very angry. Well you start off this weekend I went to NICHE and started to think about all the arguments in the world. NICHE is a homeschool conference.
One of the issues that makes me angry is homosexuality. People say that "oh I was born gay its just my nature". Well that's a BIG lie. When a farmer has some animals and he sees two of the same sex trying to mate and not interested in the others he will get rid of them. Why? Because its first wrong and also NOT natural. But for some reason in society people think that its ok for humans to be gay but not animals and that we have some sort of excuse. That just makes me SICK! When I was talking to a man at the NICHE conference he had some very good points. When two people of the same gender decide that they are going to get married it is a perversion of what it is marrige supposed to be. The Bible says that marrige is supposed to be between a man and a women. NOT a man and man or a women and women.
Lets say that you see two people eating. The first person is putting the food into their mouths. The second person is putting the food up their nose. Would you knowing that you eat with your mouth believe the second person when they say "I like to eat this way. I was born to eat like this"? I think NOT! Well that is the exact same thing with homosexuality. People say that its normal but its not. Its not natural and its not Biblical.

Another subject is abortion. Why do people say its alright to kill an innocent human life before it is born but then not ok after birth. Lets say that I kill two people. One person is your average guy middle age 30-40 years. Now let the second person be a baby that has been born only an hour ago. Now what is worse killing the baby or the man. Neither is worse. Now lets say that Theres a baby that was born an hour ago and theres another that will be born in one hour. Lets say I kill both. Your average person would now say that it is alright to kill the baby that isn't born yet but not the baby that is born. Why? What is the difference? Just because the first baby is breathing and the second one isn't? People say the reason is because the baby that isn't born can't fend for its self so its alright to kill. But isn't it also true that if you left the one hour baby alone for a week you would come back to see it dead? Did it fend for itself? No. My view about pregnancy is this. Even though the mother of the child is holding the baby. Its not hers. Its Gods. She is just carrying it for Him temporarily. Its like when you let a friend borrow something of yours and he lets another person borrow the thing and so on. Just because the person is holding onto the thing and taking care of it doesn't mean that it is theirs. It is still yours.

Another thing is the bill that the UN is trying to pass. If you haven't heard the bill is basicly giving a child the right to do whatever he wants and you as a parent can't do anything. If you try to do something then you will get fined. Now do you think that that is what society needs right now? A ton of children running around doing what ever he wants and you not being able to stop him or her. Last time I checked children are not capable to take care of them selves to a certain extent. The reason why there are families is so that the parents can help the children learn and help them mature.

I hope that you will think about some of the issues that I talked about. Stand up for what is right not just for what is easy and fun. For all the teenagers who are reading this change this generation. Don't let people think that teenagers are just dumb and lazy. I strongly recommend reading the book "Do Hard Things" by the Harris Brothers. They talk about rebelling against the low expectations of a teen. Do we want to be known for being lazy and dumb or do we want to be known for taking the extra step and rebelling against those low expectations.?

Hey its been along time since I've blogged. The reason why is because I was in Georgia for a week at a camp. The camp is called NC (national convention). Its like the Teenpact that I went to earlier this year but just national. People from all over came. It was alot of fun. The day basicly started like this:
8:00-8:45 breakfast don't have to eat but its a good idea.
9:00-9:45 bonjour (quiet time)
10:00-10:45 announcements and singing
11:00-11:45 Smallgroup (a group game and Bible verses)
12:00-12:45 lunch amazing food and a big glass of sweet tea
1:00-3:00 singing and speakers
3:00-5:00 free time and ultimate frisbee tourny for the people on teams
5:00-5:45 supper more great food and another glass of tea this time plane
6:00-9:30 singing, prayer, speakers, and election stuff.
9:30-10:00 coffee house.

The singing was awesome! On friday night after prayer during singing people everywhere (me included) started crying very hard. I could feel the presents of God in the room. It was an amazing experience.
The elections were alot of fun. People would go all out campaigning. I got some cool shirts from them and lots of candy.
Coffee house was also fun. My friend, who I met at the airport, and I would go around annoying my new "older sister". My friend, Ian, is also my new "little bro". My new "older sister" is named Bobbisue. A very cool name if you ask me. She is from Montana which is another cool state because it has snowboarding.
On the last day of coffee house my little bro and I would go around to people we knew and scream into their ears. Of course not actually scream but over emphasize it. We made alot of the people they where talking to just stop and laugh super hard. When the victim would look around we would just act like we were walking by. Lots of fun.
One bad thing about NC was the bugs. They were everywhere. When people would be sitting around for bonjour someone would just jump up screaming and slapping their legs because of the bitting ants. And there were HUGE bees. Imagine a bee 2 inches long and fatter than a nickel flying around. Not fun.
Well its getting late so I"m gonna head off to bed.

Yesterday I competed in the 5k race with my friend. It was fun but hard. My friend on the last mile ran ahead and got 270th place and I got 382th place out of 700 people. I ran it in 29 minutes so I am happy!

I've run again with a friend of mine. We ran to the highschool and back. It was around 4 miles give or take.

Last weekend another friend of mine who I haven't seen forever came. We had a blast. We rented of movies and watched them.

I got some new cd's. My favorite is As I Lay Dying. They're are Christian band and amazing.

Well since Monday, I have been training to run in a 5k race thats in a couple weeks. I just got done running with a friend of mine from church. We ran about 2 miles MAYBE 2.5. I'm hoping that I will do well in the race.
My skateboard has done very good. Today the city repaved the road with asphalt. So I was flying down the street enjoying the fresh and smooth road until my younger neighbor came and said "Sam! don't go in the street. Its not dry yet!". I know she meant well but it was too funny to hear. (mostly cuz there were cars driving down the street a lot)
I am so excited that I finished my math and chemistry for this school year! All I have left is Spanish and some reading. Yes I know I prolly shouldn't have started a new paragraph because they are supposed to have a minimum of 3 sentences in them. Wait... Now theres 4!
Yesterday was one of the first "parkdays". It was a blast. Parkday is a homeschooler thing where moms and kids get together at a park or at Squaw Creek for the day and hang out. I decided to bring my board since my other friends brought theirs. Then I fell doing the EASIEST trick ever. I felt sooo stupid.
A couple days ago I had some trouble with my cell. Since its a prepaid, I just buy the airtime when its low. So I worked all day Saturday and with the money decided to buy some more airtime. Well usually after I buy it, it updates in a matter of seconds. Well this time it didn't. So I got the privilege to call the company and talked to two different workers who had the STRONGEST english accent. But they helped lots.
I was thinking of trying to write a post in Spanish but then thought better of it because I would prolly say something wrong.
Well right now I feel pretty gross. I think I'm gonna go shed these sweaty rags and get into some clean sweats :).

First Day of Spring!

I am very excited and sad at the same time. Spring has come and that means warmer weather. Unfortunately snow doesn't fall in warm weather so you can't snowboard:(. But since it is warmer why not take advantage of it and go SKATEBOARDING!!! Today was the first day of the year on my board. It went well but didn't realize how much work it was to ollie (to ollie is the kick the back of your board w/ your back foot and slide the front foot up and hop at the same time or jumping in easier terms). Hopefully this year I will be able to work up the guts and try some more rails.

This week I went w/ a two friends to Teenpact. Teenpact is a camp for teens where they learn about government and legislature. It was alot of fun and I highly recommend it to people. I made a lot of new friends and got to meet my old friends. This year I was an alumni so I did some things the first-timers didn't get to do.

Well I just got back from boarding yet again at Sundown Mtn w/ my dad and one of my best friends. We were very excited that there was snow that was decent on the ground since it was 45 degrees outside. It was the second time my dad and I have gone boarding. Unfortunately on the first run my dad fell hard and probably ripped something. So he was just hanging out around the lodge taking cool pictures of scenery and us riding down. After a while of riding around, my friend and I hit a couple of jumps and rails. On the second time down I fell off of a rail and hurt myself. Then we hit the big terrain park. That was fun but scary mostly cuz it was icy and steep. We only went down that once though. After that we stayed on the easier hills and tried different trails down them.

This week my dad and I went to Colorado to snowboard w/ Adam (a friend from church). Here are some pics. Well the pics were put on in a different order than I expected. Some of those pics were from sunday on our hike and the group pic is everybody. We also got to go on a hike Saturday. Getting up the mountain was a blast! We fished-taled around on the edges of the mountain almost falling off the edge. We also got stuck and had to push it up the hill. Well, its been along time since I have posted. Over the past couple weeks, there has been LOTS of snow! This winter we've gotten 50 inches of snow! I've been shoveling our drive and my grandparent's. The problem is, since we have a big drive, it takes FOREVER to shovel. But the Lord always helps out by sending my dad out to help and I got to use my grandparent's blower. Today I bought some new AMAZING cd's. They are Demon Hunter and J Remy. Can't wait until next Saturday. That's when my birthday is and some people are supposed to come for it unless the weather is really bad. I'll be 15, only one year away from my license. I feel like writing again but my notebook is upstairs somewhere and it will take awhile to write everything down. Until next time, Sammi

Almost forgot to write about some of the fun things we got to do at Xmas. Liz and Joe came down to celebrate Christmas. They came down early so we got to do tons of stuff w/ them! Liz and my mom usually go shopping when they come down, my sister and dad are doing their own things and Joe and I are at a loss of what to do. We usually go and do something together though. On sunday my Dad's side of the fam came over to open presents and eat tons of food. Then Monday hit and we hosted one of the two Christmas Eve services for our church. After that my grandparents and cousins stayed and we ate food, opened my grandparents gifts, and read "The Night Before Christmas". When everybody left my family opened up Christmas Eve gifts that consisted of PJ's and wife beaters. Christmas morning came. We opened up gifts and ate my grandma's cinnamon roles. My gifts was well rounded. I got a new warm hoodie, a phone, headphones, candy, cards, and tons of other stuff.

The day after Christmas Liz and Joe had to leave. Alot of my cousins came over on the 26th and we ate food and watched old family films. On Friday night my church had a New Years Eve party. After that my younger cousins came over for the night. One of them stayed for another night. The next day one of my good friends came over after church and spent the night. Monday night I went to a party w/ some of my homeschool friends. The next night another good friend of mine came over to stay the night. He left and a friends came over for the afternoon. He just left and I'm kinda tired.
I feel like reading or doing something else.

This weekend was an awesome weekend. I got to have a friend come over and spend the night! We watched the Movie "Next" and ate a ton of popcorn. Then played a couple hours of xbox. We played not too late but late enough that we were almost l8 for church. If he came on a Friday night i guarantee that we would have stayed up alot l8er! But before all the fun I got to write three papers since I blew them off this week:(. Then we got to go rake leaves at my grandparents house!

Right now I'm looking for a good pair of big headphones. I just broke mine this weekend so i need to find a new pair.

Today was an AMAZING day! We played CTF with our church and I had a friend over after words. CTF was lots of fun. I was surprised that the cops didn't come this year because they always come when we play and ruin it.

Today I got to have one of my best friends over! One of the coolest things was that we only had to do an hour of school. Then we could goof off the rest of the time. But that got interrupted around 945 or so since we HAD to go to the doctor for my stupid physical. Of course I had to pee in a jar then throw it in the fridge. The stuff looked like orange juice! I now won't be able to drink orange juice. The thought of a woman handling stuff that isn't normally handled is rather kinda scary. But it all went well until... I had to get THREE shots in my massively biceps (not really my biceps are very small:( ). Of course the needles, this is true, were about 3 inches long!. My dad, who hates needles and the sight of blood, was in the room and made a comment that I had to laugh at. Then my friend made a comment from a joke that made me laugh so hard the nurse kinda got mad cuz it was hard to inject the shots on a convulsing body. Now my arms have bruises :(.

It all started yesterday. My Internet decided to not work anymore so I haven't had much access to the comp. So basically it will be awhile until my next post. So anyway I found a very temporary way to keep on. So today I got a lot more school done. I went to parkday with some friends and sk8ed. I also thought of an idea that would be fun to have on my blog! Tell my what you think about it and actually tell me what you think. I thought it would be fun to put on a parable from the Bible or from ones that I have written. Then you can email me or comment and tell me what you think the parable was describing and who the characters represented. here goes
There once was a man who was the most popular person in town. One day he decided to make a journey through the woods to go and get a gift a friend was giving him for accepting him and keeping an open relationship with him. So he headed out and started his way. All at first it was a blast and easy. But then after awhile it started to get alittle harder and harder. Eventually he got to a spot on the path that was covered in thorns all over. He thought to himself "I am strong and I can get through this easily.". So he decided to go and push his way through. What he didn't see was that the patch of thorns wasn't just a patch but a HUGE field of them! Still confidant he kept trucking on. After a little while he decided to rest. At first when he sat down the thorns tore at his flesh and he bleed all over. But he soon got used to it and didn't care much about it. After a while resting, he thought to himself, "why do I keep going for the gift that my friend so kindly gives? Why don't I just stay here awhile? Its not too bad.". Time past so fast that he didn't even notice that the thorns were growing more thick all over him. Soon he couldn't get out. He couldn't move or anything. Just imagine being bound by thorns all over. Not fun. But anyway back to the story. He worked and worked at the thorns but they just wouldn't move. Soon he just gave up and sunk into the patch thorns. After a long time of waiting, His friend appeared and asked why he was just laying there. He asked why he didn't keep going and why he just gave up. His friend then gave him a pair of clippers and helped him get untangled from the thorns. After a long time of chopping and hard effort, the man was free and he and his friend went on to the man's house to receive the gift promised to him by his friend.

This weekend I got to go to a youth retreat with some friends. We stayed at my sisters house. The youth retreat was alot of fun. It was at my sisters church in MN. At the retreat we played games inside since it was raining. After that, we went on a hay ride and had a bonfire that lasted late into the night. We also had songs and a great preacher. I made two new friends and hung out with them some. While I was there, I had a big top hat that everybody wanted so they kept taking it. That kinda got annoying after awhile (mostly cuz they wouldn't ask to wear it). I also think that I might be dehydrated since I only drank a couple pops, about a third if a bottle of water and alittle bit of milk.

This weekend I am goin to be up in MIN for a youth retreat. It should be fun but only if its not to hot. But also I heard some depressing but good news so i'm not in the best of moods. Well my brother-in-law gettin impatient i guess i'll go.

Lets see... Today and yesterday I had a ton of stuff to do. Yesterday I got to go to a eye appointment, band, chemistry lab, and a bible study. So basically I had no time to do school. But today I had a little more time. I only had a piano lesson and went to a friends. So I got to do more school:(. Right now my school is not going well at all so I would greatly appreciate you praying that I won't just give up. And now to the poem. My minds blank so it might end up not to good like the last one.

A busy Saturday

Today I found myself driving to Linnmar Highschool:( I had to take an SAT class that was 6 hours long! It got pretty boring after the first three hours but the teacher had a lot of good pointers. Then after that I went to a wedding that lasted a little to long. They had great food but then it got cold. Now I'm at home wonderin what to do. But I guess I'll TRY to write a poem so you can see if you like it and if you do then vote yes or no.

Today and lastnight I spent a couple of hours slaughtering the other teams in Age of Empires 2! Its a very fun game. Today I went to a spanish class. It is pretty fun, but some of the stuff gets confusing! After spanish my dad and I went to a new resturant called "The China King"! Its a great chinese buffet and its cheap! Its located in the little square area next to the Marion Square on 7th Ave.

Today I did more school. I am starting a new kind of geometry call "Chalk dust". I also went and got rid of a ground squirrel that my grandpa caught! I figured that if you douse them with water a couple times they calm down. Since I am at a loss for words I guess I'll go find something to do and if I think of something I'll be back! But for now this is farewell my friends!!

Summer

This past summer I got the chance to got to 3 different types of camps! The first one I went to was called "teenpact". Teenpact is a camp where you get to go tour the state capital and learn about how bills are passed and all that kind of stuff. Some of the things that I got to do were really cool. I got to go interview some ppl with a friend, watch some REAL bills get passed.

The second camp I went to was called "Worldview Academy". Worldview Academy is located up in MIN. That was probably one of the funnest camps I went to. We had two speakers for that week. The last camp that I went to is called East Iowa Bible Camp. That camp was tons of fun! We did multiple relays, water Olympics, campfire, and on the last night we had a awesome party. I got a chance to meet some really cool ppl at that camp. "A", "T", "F","D", and "A" were the ppl I hung out with the most. The party on the last night was a lot of fun. The past week

Today I went to Target with my mom. I have been looking for a Creative Zune mp3 player. Target carries them but they sell them for too much mula! I also have been taking piano. I have been working on piano pieces for a contest call IMTA. My program consists of three songs Epilogue, Topaz Nocturne, and The Invention #8. I have been practising the pieces daily but have been getting "sick" of Topaz Nocturne (mostly because its SLOW).
I also am in band! My teacher is a very funny but cool guy. I play the sax with a friend "BIGM". the songs that we are playing in band are very cool. The Summit is probably my favorite song. It's a very hard song and takes a lot of precise counting.
I have been mowing lawns for ppl in my neighborhood so if you need your lawn mowed and you live near me I might be interested.

I have finally got a blog! Basically this will consist of what I do daily, prayer requests, a couple of random things, and MAYBE a daily poem that I write (since I tend to write a lot). I will greatly appreciate your comments and I would like to take a vote about if I should write a poem and post it or not.
I will also greatly appreciate your prayers for my spiritual growth since only a couple days have I given my life to God.
Right know I am at a loss for what to say so if you could give me some hints about what I should write that would be great!
